Our Story

In March 2017, owner Danielle Hudak opened Chocolatier Matisse in Orangeburg NY. With a previous background of over 25 years in the corporate HR field, Danielle was the lead director of all the company events, and would add her personal, creative and elegant touch into everything she did. Danielle, on the side would also always make sweets for her family and friend's events. After many years, and an opportunity to open her own shop, she decided it was the perfect time to show the local communities what she had in her. Her business quickly grew, from just selling chocolates, to having kids birthday parties, summer camps, an in store gift shop, 'adult's night out' events, and many more fun, creative activities. Each piece of chocolate is made with pure love. Chocolatier Matisse takes pride in what we create, which is why we only source the best ingredients for our products.
